Ström Traditional Single-Hand Rod9' #5

Inspired by the Golden Age of fly fishing, Ström Traditional combines the timeless aesthetics of classic cane rods with the cutting-edge performance of next generation carbon technology. A special edition collection that celebrates the heritage of rod making without compromising on the strength, stability or accuracy expected from modern day anglers.

Built using the same high-performance, 7X technology heptagonal blank as our flagship Ström range, the Traditional features a distinctive cane-inspired finish, complemented by a custom dark nickel and hand-selected myrtle wood reel seat, ergonomic flor cork handle and Japanese kimono silk thread wraps.

Every detail pays tribute to traditional craftsmanship - right down to the ferrule stoppers - whilst simultaneously delivering the exceptional performance of our premium fly rod series.

Engineered for anglers seeking the ideal balance of power, finesse and responsiveness, the Ström Traditional 590 elevates both your time on the water and your effectiveness as an angler. Its unique heptagonal cross-section provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, lightning-fast recovery and effortless precision. Highly versatile, it excels when wading small streams or casting from a drift boat. Equally adept at managing dry flies, weighted nymphs and light streamers, the 590 is the ultimate light-line all-rounder for fly fishers who want peak performance.
