In the latest epic episode of Loop Fly Fishing Adventures, ambassador Fred Campbell returns to the rivers that shaped his life and sparked a lifelong passion for Atlantic salmon.
This journey takes him across five of Eastern Canada’s most legendary Atlantic salmon rivers – the Restigouche, Matapédia, Petite Cascapédia, Bonaventure, and Grand Cascapédia – rivers that hold decades of memories for him, unforgettable adventures, and some of the largest Atlantic salmon on in the world.
After several challenging years of low salmon returns, Fred sets out in search of answers and hope. Along the way, he reconnects with old friends, guides, and a new generation of anglers who are dedicating their lives to protecting these remarkable rivers.

More than a fly fishing adventure, this is a story about the deep connection people share with the Atlantic salmon and the rivers. It explores why Atlantic salmon continue to inspire so many, what these rivers mean to the communities that depend on them, and why there is still reason to believe in their future.

This episode is a heartfelt journey through Fred’s home waters – a celebration of one of the world’s greatest fish, the people fighting to protect it, and the hope that keeps them returning to the river year after year.
