Jay grew up fishing the small spate river Deveron in the North of Scotland dreaming of fishing the big rivers of Scandinavia. After a 7 year period as a proffessional musician touring the world with Counterpoint, Cervello and Blackwater he found himself in the North of Sweden to discover the hidden gems that are the Baltic Salmon and the mighty rivers they inhabit such as the Torne and Kalix river systems. After meeting Lars Munk, Jay helped contribute to the work that Lars had started on at Camp Onka and Kengis Bruk, soon after creating his Fly Fish Adventures travel agency for international tourists visiting Swedish Lapland chasing Baltic Salmon, Trout, Grayling & Arctic Char. Jay continues to help develop, contribute to and work with Tourism in Swedish Lapland and can be found on the Torne and Lainio rivers throughout the summer chasing the fish of a lifetime and sharing the experience with his guests.

Stuart started fishing at the age of 4 and began tying flies a short time later by using cotton out of his mom’s sewing kit and feathers out of his pillow and has developed into a very talented fly dresser and has both tied flies and fly fished for over 35 years. During that time he has gained wide experience fishing the various waters of Scotland and Wales chasing trout and salmon fishing most of the rivers in Scotland and the rest of the UK and has travelled as far as Norway, Alaska, Argentina and over the last few years he has extensively fished the North West Pacific with a total Steelhead obsession taking him to the wilds of British Columbia as often as possible. He currently designs flies commercially for a couple of fly companies as well as writing articles for magazines and tying flies for illustration purposes for a couple of books on modern salmon patterns, but lately his main focus is to teach easy and effective fly tying to both young and old alike. There is no better feeling than catching a fish on a fly that you have tied yourself! Stuart loves his time on the riverbank but when he can’t be fishing he is probably at his vice.
