Stuart Foxall

Country of origin, United Kingdom

Stuart Foxall

Stuart started fishing at the age of 4 and began tying flies a short time later by using cotton out of his mom’s sewing kit and feathers out of his pillow and has developed into a very talented fly dresser and has both tied flies and fly fished for over 35 years. During that time he has gained wide experience fishing the various waters of Scotland and Wales chasing trout and salmon fishing most of the rivers in Scotland and the rest of the UK and has travelled as far as Norway, Alaska, Argentina and over the last few years he has extensively fished the North West Pacific with a total Steelhead obsession taking him to the wilds of British Columbia as often as possible. He currently designs flies commercially for a couple of fly companies as well as writing articles for magazines and tying flies for illustration purposes for a couple of books on modern salmon patterns, but lately his main focus is to teach easy and effective fly tying to both young and old alike. There is no better feeling than catching a fish on a fly that you have tied yourself! Stuart loves his time on the riverbank but when he can’t be fishing he is probably at his vice.

Tim and Sonya Pask

Tim and Sonya Pask

For the past two decades Sonya and I have carried fly rods, and packed camera gear around the globe chasing the adventure. We would often return from fishing double handers for seatrout in Argentina, to chasing tarpon in Florida. After running in to some hardcore Loop anglers on Russia’s Kola Peninsula in 2003, it changed everything from the gear we fished, to the way we fished it. True innovations are rare at best, but the first time we landed a 150 pound tarpon on a 10 weight rod, that weighed as much as our previous 7 weights, was innovation that was easy to get behind. These days we downsize virtually all our tackle, and pack less because the breakage has decreased by 10 fold. Swinging for steelhead with a 6 weight double, and landing them in a fraction of the time is both good for the fish, and our aging bodies. Seems that we are always planning or packing for our next trip, and it’s incredibly nice to be partnered with a company that is owned, managed and run by anglers just as passionate as we are.
