You’ve read the water, chosen the right line for the depth you want, decided how fast your fly will swim, and presented a favourite fly with a nice controlled cast. Have patience, you’re soon into a nice surprise. BANG! Nothing can compare to that feeling when you have a take based on your own skill and knowledge. Nothing.

Hi, I’m born in -59 and situated close to Bergen, in the beautiful western part of Norway. I have been fly fishing for about 40 years and I still enjoy the whole of it. The fishing, casting, single hand, double hand, fly tying, the fellowship along the river banks, you name it. Next to the beautiful rivers in Norway I have been fishing several times in Kola, Argentina and a lot in the marvellous River Dee in Scotland.

As a member of the Norwegian Loop/LTS team the last 6 years I have gained an extra dimension to my knowledge by just being together with so many high skilled persons. In my opinion, that’s what makes fly fishing the number one. There is always something to learn. It keeps you alert and going.

If you want to be a good caster you have to cast a lot – if you want to be a good fisherman you have to fish a lot.
That’s a fact. Believe me, there are no shortcuts to paradise – EXCEPT you can save some years of struggle by attending a fishing school.  
During the last 15 years I’ve held a lot of courses. Single/Double hand, overhead and underhand, and also fly tying.
Together with friends I run a company called “Myggen” with focus on practical fishing for salmon and sea trout. Our main event is the annual fishing school in The Gloppen river. For the 5th year the success is still going strong. In this beautiful river with the astonishing sceneries around, you will learn what it’s about from A to Z.
