KJELL PETTER SOLHAUG
My motto: Active fly fishing, with short casting, a lot of knowledge and a plan!
I am a new member of the Loop Team in Norway, situated in the beautiful west of Norway where the big sea trouts live. Fly fishing and fly casting have been an important part of my life for the last 20 years, and my best times have been with a light two handed rod in my hands and with water flowing all around me. I am an educated fly casting instructor and have held numerous fly casting courses, both with one handed rods and two handed rods. Together with some close friends, I have managed to develop the fly fishing school in Gloppenelva into becoming a great success. The last few years I have done a lot of fishing in Norway and on Kola, Scotland and Argentina, and also worked as a guide in Gloppenelva in the summers.
My primary activity in 2008 will be the fly fishing school in week 29. The success will continue for the fifth year in a row. Our popular fishing school focuses on fly casting and practical angling for salmon and seatrout. We go through all the steps in the process of casting, both theoretically and with personal follow-up in the river by one of the school's instructors. Also involved in this fishing school is, among others, Ole Kristian.
